From your name I would say you are female, apparently having the stent out isn't so bad as there is somewhat less distance to travel to get to the bladder. Still, I pity you - it isn't nice. They will give you a painkiller which is very effective when it takes hold but I wasn't offered any sedative as an option. The stent is an unpleasant thing to have inside you :(

best of luck!

Quelle horreur!!! Well, I have all this to come.....Nnoooooooo!!
I was told I may have kidney cancer but when they did the cystoscopy, they discovered a stone and introduced a stent without my knowledge. I've never felt such discomfort and it's only been inside me just over a week. I can't really walk around without feeling I have to pee and the only time I'm comfortable is when I am lying down in bed. I want to ask for a strong sedative when I have mine removed. I've been told by people who have had this already not to be brave and to demand some pain relief. Glad yours is all over, but what is the alternative????

I generally use the Freeloader, which I picked up from Maplins last year for 20 quid. Comes with all sorts of adapters including a USB one so I can use it for my iPod and Mobile.

The Solar functionality is piss poor, you need about 8 hours solid Mediterranean sunshine to get a half charge, but the idea is that you charge it before you go and it functions more as a portable battery pack with solar top up features. I carry mine with me all the time.

@Fluffydave

I moved my blog to a different web host and new URL. The old web host's MySQL was incredibly slow and trying to blog anything was deeply painful.

Wordpress 2.7 also makes use of Google Gears in the admin area meaning all the dashboard stuff is pre-cached which makes it all even faster.

2.7 is significantly nicer to use than 2.6 was too!

Glad someone reads me blog :)

I did use Google reader but I don't think I can access it from work. I am unsure of the point in latitude but at least it offers you some decent control over who can see where you are and to what accuracy.

Don't see much point in others knowing where you are, but knowing where you are might be handy when lost :)

Holy banana phones, they haven't blocked this site from work yet. What's with the sudden prolific blogging? Not that I'm complaining but you've been silent for like 4 months and now a post a day. It's good, keep it up!

On the subject of Google, I've signed up to Latitude, I can't see any point to it really but I'm there. Also, do you use Google Reader for your RSS? I was converted many moons ago and the 'sharing feature' is more useful the more friends you have, so if you're using it then let me know.
